The week ago. I search for information on the Dakine High Roller Snowboard Bag, so i would like to describe here.
first of all: this bag is awesome. is durable. is strong. It's huge! Has tons of padding all around (even for the top compartment). the wheels are large and hard, yet roll as smooth as butter. I have owned the Dakine Low Roller and I can say, Dakine makes great products. boot compartments fit my size 14 boots (one in each compartment) with plenty of room left over for other tools. I put two complete configurations (two 162W two sets of tables for large associations), two large, two jackets snowboard pants, my helmet, gloves, goggles and some three shirt and there is still plenty of space left here. It's probably a little more than half full. seriously, I could pack plus at least 35 pounds of clothing/gear here. Here is the problem. This bag is actually too big. If the airline overweight fees were not an issue, I would go with this bag 10/10 times. but we live in a world where the overweight fees are definitely a factor. on most airlines (here in the States anyway) you might want to check a second bag, relative to the control of a single overweight bag. I have this thing barely more than half full, and is pushing 50 lbs. There are others out there that bags are a bit smaller (read: lighter), which can bring much gear. I kinda ruined this factor when choosing this bag, and regret for sure. I was deciding between this and a few bags of Burton (Wheelie Board Case, Wheelie Gig) both of which are smaller, and after seeing how hyper-this is huge, I'm going to trade out for one of those. at this point it comes to practicality. If you don't care about airline fees, overweight and want a very large bag and excellently crafted, this is your guy. but for the rest of us, I have to recommend against it. I don't say this often, but I need to find a smaller bag.
